A new 100% electric adventure with the ECAM Formula Student Team

At GAC Technology, innovation is central to who we are. And so we are proud to announce this new partnership with the ECAM Formula Student Team (EFST), a team of future engineers from ECAM Lyon, who have launched an ambitious project: to design a prototype 100% electric single-seater racing car to take part in the international Formula Student competition.

Discovering Formula Student: an all-electric challenge for budding engineers

Formula Student is one of the world’s leading competitions for engineering students. Organised in various countries, it brings together university teams from all over the world to design, build and drive single-seater racing cars. This major project will enable students to put their technical skills into practice by developing innovative and sustainable solutions in the automotive sector.

A 100% electric single-seater racing car? Yes, it’s possible!

The EFST has set itself quite an objective: developing a fully electric prototype single-seater racing car. This bold choice is driven by environmental concerns and reflects current challenges facing the automotive industry. With their prototype, they hope not only to tackle the technical challenges but also to demonstrate that electric really is the future for car racing and sustainable mobility.

Why has GAC Technology joined them for this adventure?

At GAC Technology, we love challenges, particularly meaningful ones. For us, supporting the EFST team offers the opportunity to contribute to a project that combines innovation, performance and respect for the environment. By contributing our support, we’re helping the team to:

  • Design and develop their prototype single seater.
  • Finance their competition-related travel.
  • Use the best possible equipment.

“GAC Technology’s support is a real boost for our team. Thanks to this partnership, we have the means to see our innovative project for a 100% electric single-seater racing car through and to tackle the challenges of an international competition. We are very grateful for the trust, confidence and commitment they have shown us.” XXX, president of the EFST team.
