In early September, GAC Technology announced the choice of two partners to boost its international growth. This new step forward began in Spain with the acquisition of the Optima Fleet management platform, which is distributed exclusively in the Spanish market.
As a reporting platform, Optima Fleet, extends the range of vehicle fleet management solutions
Previously reserved only for members of theAEGFA (the Spanish
Vehicle Fleet Managers and mobility Association), Optima Fleet will now be available more widely.
Henceforth, thanks to an agreement signed with the association, GAC Technology has acquired this platform and will be marketing its range of services. Consequently, the solution will reinforce the vehicle fleet management software, GAC Car Fleet, already distributed by GAC Technology for the last two years in Spain.
The two solutions are complementary but correspond to different needs and management maturity characteristics:
- Optima Fleet is a reporting platform devoted to the management of vehicle fleets. It provides an overview of your fleet. As a result, the fleet manager can create reports, analyse them and stay informed in the event of incidents or maintenance. The fleet manager is also free to import his or her own information via Excel sheets or enter it manually.
- GAC Car Fleet is a vehicle fleet management software solution. It covers all vehicle fleet processes, from the integration of the vehicle within the fleet to its return or sale (orders for vehicles, maintenance and incidents, calculation of TCO, customisable dashboard, generation and sending of reports, tracking CSR indicators, etc.). As a result, the fleet manager can optimise his or her vehicle fleet, controlling costs or ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. GAC Technology’s connections with European suppliers and tracking by its project leaders offer fleet managers added the comfort and exhaustiveness of the data displayed in GAC Car Fleet.

Why did you choose Optima Fleet?
“With GAC Technology’s expansion in Spain, I felt it was important to be able to draw upon the best available vehicle fleet management solution. We found that Optima Fleet perfectly matched this ambition. This vehicle fleet management reporting platform is above all a great success, an extremely useful solution and a brand widely recognised in Spain. Initially, it was run by the AEGFA. This association does excellent work in serving the local needs of Spanish corporate fleet managers and really understands their needs and concerns.

What are your expansion plans in Spain?
“We have serious ambitions for Spain.
In the Spanish market, the range of available “pure” management solutions
(like Optima Fleet or GAC Car Fleet) is still rather limited, and corporate
fleet managers are looking for management and reporting solutions. A plan to meet these needs has been drawn up.
This acquisition is the first step.
As a result, we are establishing a direct and decisive presence in Spain.
From November 2022, a GAC Technology staff member will be assigned a role dedicated to Optima Fleet (meeting clients, maintenance, analysis, communication, etc.) and to GAC Car Fleet.
The second stage of our expansion plan is the recruitment of a Spanish sales representative. In the meantime, customer support will operate from
France, but a position in Spain will soon be open.
